Washington County Shop with a Cop Car, Truck, and Motorcycle Show!
The 1st Annual Show - 2008
In 2008, I came to my employer, The Waters of Salem, and asked them if they would be interested in sponsoring a car show to benefit this local program. Once we began planning and organizing, we realized this was going to be a major event for the small community of Salem, Indiana.
We had 96 vehicles (cars, trucks, and motorcycles) that were parked around the Salem Square. We had vendors such as the Moose Lodge, Bloomin' Onion Wagon, and Papa Johns selling concessions. With everyone's support, including donations from the vendors, fees from the registration, sponors for the t-shirts, and everyone else, we were able to raise $1,999.00 for the program.

In 2009, we had the 2nd Annual Car Show. The weather was a little cloudy and chilly, but we had 83 participants for the event. The spectator attendance was a little lower than hoped, but we were still able to raise $1,500.
